Kylsans Drugs & Chemicals (P) Ltd. intends to emerge as an international speciality pharmaceutical company. Currently International markets account for 10% of sales, over the next two years, these are expected to increase to 20% of turnover.

There are two parts to the company's international strategy:

  • Branded products
    Branded speciality products that enjoy prescriber confidence in India and have grown to become the mainstay of therapy are marketed internationally. In each of the countries that Kylsans has a presence in, the company uses locally recruited marketing teams and country specific promotional inputs to create a prescription pull and build brands.

  • Generics in Asia and South Africa
    Kylsans Laboratories is building a presence in the high value generic markets in Asia and South Africa. A range of products with increasingly higher value addition, from generics to differentiated generics and branded generics has been identified for introduction.
